Swanage 3 Rivers Race 4th March

SSRC had a successful first outing at Saltash on Sunday in the 6 mile race, with the ladies coming in 14th out of 39 entries - the biggest field yet which needed two heats setting off 30 seconds apart. The weather was rough with strong winds and choppy waves on the Tamar. The men got to a good start in their heat but were passed by several boats but hauled their way back past two more to finish 24th out of 36 boats - a much better result than the 31st in 2009! The results are combined and Swanage finished 18th, just behind Bridport and Weymouth. Congratulations to all who took part.
