Swanage 3 Rivers Race4th March SSRC had a successful first outing at Saltash on Sunday in the 6 mile race, with the ladies coming in 14th out of39 entries - the biggest field yet which needed two heats setting off 30 seconds apart The weather was rough with strong winds and choppy waves on the Tamar The men got to a good start in their heat but were passed by several boats but hauled their way backpast two more to finish 24th out of 36 boats - a much better result than the 31st in 2009! The results are combined and Swanage finished 18th, just behind Bridport and Weymouth Congratulations to all who took part Adrian Charters used his video camera, video of the mens race to follow soon
